The Ultimate AM4 Gaming Processor

The AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D is the ultimate gaming processor for the DDR4 platform, and it’s built around AMD’s game-changing 3D V-Cache™ technology. By stacking a huge 96MB of L3 cache onto its 8-core, 16-thread Zen 3 design, it feeds the CPU more game data closer to the cores — delivering higher frame rates in the titles that matter to gamers across South Africa, without needing a brand-new platform.

Zen 3 Performance, Ready to Boost

Built on the proven Zen 3 architecture, the 5800X3D runs at a 3.4 GHz base clock and boosts up to 4.5 GHz with Precision Boost 2, so it stays responsive whether you’re gaming, streaming or tackling everyday productivity. With 8 cores and Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) for 16 threads, plus a 512KB L1 / 4MB L2 cache hierarchy, it has the muscle for serious multitasking as well as high-refresh gaming.

A Smart, Easy Upgrade for AM4 Builds

One of the 5800X3D’s biggest strengths is its socket AM4 compatibility. It works with X570, X470, B550, B450 and A520 chipsets, making it a superb drop-in upgrade for existing AM4 systems — often with just a BIOS update. It supports dual-channel DDR4 up to 128GB (DDR4-3200), PCIe® 4.0, and even ECC memory with compatible motherboards, so you get modern connectivity without the cost of a full platform change.

Built for Modern Gaming and Cool Operation

Supporting AMD 3D V-Cache™, Windows® 11 gaming and AMD Ryzen™ VR-Ready Premium, the 5800X3D is engineered for today’s most demanding experiences. It’s manufactured on TSMC’s 7nm process with a 105W default TDP and a 90°C maximum operating temperature. No cooler is included in the box, and AMD recommends a liquid cooler for optimal performance — so pair it with a capable AIO to keep it running at its best.
